| A beautiful boy from our AJ who is completely fulfilling his early promise. He is wonderfully gentle and affectionate boy who will nibble your fingernails and roll on his back for a tummy rub at the first chance. He is definitely another Mummy's boy but has that spark of showmanship which we hope will continue to serve him well in the show ring. | |

| Stride made a wonderful ring debut at the LKA Championship Show in December 2009 winning Puppy Dog and Best Puppy in Breed under breed specialist judge Patrick Galvin (Merrybear).
He repeated that achievement with three more Best Puppy in Breed awards at Championship shows in 2010.
At the Northern Newfoundland Club Championship show Stride won the Dog Reserve CC under international breed specialist Judge Mr. Jim Bricknell (Bayside - Canada) and a fortnight later was G3 in the Working Group Puppy at the Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales in April. May saw Stride winning the PetPlan Junior Stakes at the Scottish Kennel Club and he qualified for the National final of that competition in January 2011 where he was placed fifth just two points behind the national winner. While still only 13 months, Stride accumulated the points for his Junior Warrant award. He won his way through the qualifying and semi-finals held in November to gain a place in the Kennel Gazette Junior Warrant finals at Crufts in 2011 where he performed well in the 'big ring'. With twelve (!) Reserve Challenge Certificates to his name before his third birthday, Stride won the three CCs for his Champion title at three straight Championship shows, in each case being awarded Best Of Breed and going on to success in the Working Group;
2013 was another wonderful year in the show ring for Stride. With 10 CCs and seven Working Group placings including twice winning the Group, Stride finished as the UKs top winning Newfoundland for the second year running. |
